Curled Paper Christmas Wreath

Curled Paper Christmas Wreath by Louise Raine

This easy-to-make wreath can be hung indoors or laid flat on a table with a candle in the middle for a lovely decoration. Battery operated lights can also be added for that extra sparkle.

You will need:

  • One polystyrene wreath – I have used one that is approx 10" across.
  • Six sheets of 12x12 double sided Christmas paper or thin card
  • 12"piece of ribbon for hanging
  • Scissors or bone folder
  • Pins
  • Guillotine

Time to Make: 2-3 hours

Skill Level: Beginner

Instructions:

  1. Curled Paper Christmas Wreath Cut all pieces of paper 1/2 "across using a guillotine.

Using a bone folder or closed pair of scissors, take a piece of the paper and starting at the centre curl outwards, repeat on the other side. Do this to all of your strips of paper.
  2. Curled Paper Christmas Wreath Attach the ribbon to your wreath using pins or tie it on.
  3. Curled Paper Christmas Wreath Take a pin and press it into the middle of the curled paper and push into the wreath.
  4. Curled Paper Christmas Wreath Repeat step 4 for all your other pieces of curled paper and build your wreath.
  5. Curled Paper Christmas Wreath Your wreath is finished when all the polystyrene has been covered.
