I am passionate about needlecraft and enjoy demonstrating sewing. I have been sewing since I was about three years old and have studied at the London College of fashion.
My career in television started on ‘Crossroads’ in 1979, followed by many commercials and appearances in soaps and TV dramas, playing anything from a barrister in Coronation Street to a travel agent in Brookside. I also spent a couple of years as the face of Childrens’ ITV in the mid '80s, interviewing pop stars of the day, such as Hue and Cry, Climie Fisher, Kim Wilde and Eddy Grant.
Born in Derby, I now live in Lincolnshire with photographer husband Garie, and have three grown-up children and a menagerie of pets.
I love the buzz of being in a live television studio, and particularly enjoy having the opportunity to chat to the Create and Craft viewers!
Not something I'm admitting to!
Relax and enjoy your sewing; it's a hobby, not a chore, and don't beat yourself up if things don't go right first time.
