5 DIY sequin crafts

Add a little sparkle and shine to your makes with plenty of sequins

5 DIY sequin crafts

Sequin T-shirt

A word adorned with sequins is all you need to turn a plain t-shirt from drab to fab. Get some sequin trim, fabric glue, a marker and needle and thread. First, choose a cursive font and print your phrase onto paper in the size you'd like it to appear on your t-shirt. Use a box cutter to cut out the letters to make a template. Place the template on the t-shirt then outline the letters using a marker.
Remove the template, outline the phrase with glue then adhere your sequin until every letter is covered. You can even glue sequin strips side by side for a fuller effect. Use needle and thread to secure some of the sequins to the t-shirt for added durability in the wash.

Sparkly Ballet Flats

Ballet flats with sequins on top will look lovely among a shoe collection, and even better on your feet! Source sequins and mod podge to start. Brush the mod podge onto the tip of one flat and use a tweezer to place the sequins on top. Once all the glue is covered, leave to dry, then repeat for the next flat. They'll be perfect for work or play and will add a glittery touch to any outfit.

Sequin Clutch

Fancy changing up an accessory for your next night out? Glam up a clutch with plenty of sequins! All you'll need is strips of sequins and mod podge. Adhere the strips to your clutch and leave to dry, then take your new DIY project out for a bit of fun and see how quickly your friends start complimenting your design.

Sequin Vase

There's so much you can do with a vase, and we think you'll definitely love this one! Source sequins and mod podge. Use a brush to adhere the mod podge to the inside of the vase, then sprinkle sequins inside. Shake the vase to ensure that the sequins stick to the glue and leave to dry. The beauty of this project is that you can add as many shades of sequins as you'd like, and we think the more sequins, the merrier!

Sequin Invites

If you're in the planning stages for your next big celebration, we think that adding sequins to invites will get guests really excited. Where you place the sequins is up to you – after all, this is all about being creative, but we think that adding a variety of multi-coloured sequins will certainly create a striking effect.
