Heart Wreath

What better way to make a special someone smile than by creating a wreath covered with lovely roses. Source a heart grapevine wreath, faux roses and a glue gun. Adhere your roses around the frame of the wreath and leave to dry. Hang it on a loved one's door and watch as their eyes light up.

Sweets Bouquet

Fulfil a loved ones sweet obsession with a beautiful yet simple bouquet. You'll need a vase, plenty of sweets, roses and bakers twine. Place the roses in a vase, then fill it up with sweets before tying a piece of twine around the top of the vase. Depending on how much time you have, you could create as many sweet-filled vases as possible to make the occasion even more special.

Glitter Votive

Add a touch of sparkle to an ordinary mason jar and let your love glow! Get a jar, glitter, paint, a paint brush, Mod Podge, ribbon and a heart stencil to start. Adhere the stencil to the jar then cover the jar with paint, ensuring that you paint around the stencil. Leave to dry. Apply Mod Podge to the same area, cover with glitter, then remove the stencil. Tie a ribbon around the top of the jar, then place a battery operated candle inside. Watch as any room in the home instantly brightens!

Yarn Wrapped Hearts

Don't get rid of your yarn oddments just yet! Use them to create the perfect gift for family and friends. Source a piece of cardboard, a marker, a heart stencil and bits of yarn. Draw a heart on the cardboard and use a box cutter to cut out the shape. Tape down one end of a bit of yarn to the middle of the heart, then wrap the rest around the piece of cardboard until it's completely covered. Glue down the other end of yarn and stare at your make with pride.

Heart Blanket

Give the gift of warmth this Valentine's Day. You'll have a ton of fun making this. You'll need a blanket, either shop bought or handmade, as well as heart stencils and red waterproof paint. Cover the stencil with paint then stamp onto the blanket wherever you see fit. Repeat the process as many times as possible until you're satisfied. Leave to dry before giving it to a family member or friend.
