Ordering FAQ's

Spread the Cost

What is Flexi-pay?

Flexi-pay is a service we offer our customers to help make a product more affordable by spreading the cost(excluding postage and packaging) across 2, 3 or 4 instalments, interest free.

The first payment is made when you place your order and the remaining payments will be taken in subsequent monthly instalments.

Flexi-pay is so easy to set up – we do it all for you!

How it all works...

Step 1: Look For the Flexi-pay Symbol

Wherever you see this Flexi-pay symbol - on TV or on the website - it means you can choose the Flexi-pay option for that item if you wish. The option to pay by Flexi-pay may be limited to a particular show or time period. Customers can choose this option by speaking with our orderline team, via our website or via our mobile app. All customers are eligible to use Flexi-pay when it is offered, however, we reserve the right to refuse to allow payment by Flexi-pay.

Step 2: See the Flexi-pay Details on the Product Page

To find out which Flexi-pay options are offered for an item, simply click on the 'Flexi-pay Details' tab on the product page. You'll see what Flexi-Pay Plans there are, how many payments you'll need to make, and the amount of each payment.

Alternatively, Contact Us to discuss your options.

Step 3: Flexi-Basket

Once you've added one Flexi-pay item to your basket, you can add others (Even if they're not on Flexi-Pay). These additional items will also be included in your Flexi-pay plan*.

* Please check your basket before you check out, as some items may not be available on Flexi-pay.

Step 4: Select Your Flexi-pay Items in the Checkout

Once you've added your items to your basket and reached the checkout, you'll be taken to an Order Confirmation page. Under Payment Options, tick the box 'Add Flexi Pay to my order'.

If you have some Flexi-pay and some non-Flexi-pay items on the same order, you may be offered the opportunity to pay for all products by Flexi-pay through Flexi-Basket.

If you don't want to do this, or if you're not offered this option, you'll pay for any non-Flexi-pay items in full when you place your order.

If you order two products at the same time but with different payment schedules – for example, a two-month and a three-month term - you'll automatically be given the choice of paying for both products over the longer time period.

Once you have decided which item(s) you would like to include in Flexi-Pay, you then Choose Your Plan.

Confirm your Flexi-Pay Options.

Step 5: Confirm Your Selection and First Payment

Read through your Basket Summary to check that Flexi-pay has been applied and that your first payment (made with your order), is what you expect.

If you order over the phone, our Customer Services adviser will confirm your plan.

Step 6 – Payment

Flexi-pay instalments must be paid with a credit or debit card. At this time Maestro cards are not supported for payment by Flexi-pay, however you may pay for a product in full using a Maestro card.

We take payment of the first instalment, plus postage and packaging, when you place your order, then subsequent monthly instalments automatically from the same card until the order is fully paid.

Please note: If the credit or debit card you used to pay Flexi-pay instalment is lost, stolen or cancelled, you must update your details. You can do this by logging into your account on our website on the Flexi-pay Plans Page page. If you change your card details while you have any Flexi-pay instalments outstanding, the next instalment(s) due will be taken when you register your new card with us even if this is earlier than when the instalment is otherwise due. This ensures that the credit or debit card details have been validated. Alternatively you can contact our Customer Services department, who can update the credit or debit card details held for you.

If the credit or debit card with which you are proposing to pay for your Flexi-pay order expires within 1 month of the final instalment under your Flexi-pay Plan is due to be taken, then you will not be able to use this card to pay for your Flexi-pay order.

Step 7 – Confirmation of Your Purchase and Flexi-pay Amounts Schedule

You'll receive a letter through the post, detailing your purchase and confirming payment amounts and the dates they'll be taken from your credit/debit card. You'll know exactly what you'll be paying, and when.

What happens if I order some products on Flexi-pay and some non-Flexi-pay products at the same time?

If you have some Flexi-pay and some non-Flexi-pay items on the same order, you may be offered the opportunity to pay for all products by Flexi-pay. If you don't want to do this, or if you are not offered this option, you will pay for any non-Flexi-pay items in full when you place your order.

If you order two products at the same time but with different payment schedules (a two and a three month term for example), you will be given the choice of paying for both over the longer time period.

Flexi-pay instalments must be paid with a credit or debit card. At this time Maestro Debit and PayPal are not supported for payment by Flexi-pay. We take payment of the first instalment and Postage & Packaging when you place your order and then subsequent instalments automatically from the same card until the order is paid in full.

If the credit or debit card with which you are proposing to pay for your Flexi-pay order expires within 1 month of the final instalment under your Flexi-pay Plan is due to be taken, then you will not be able to use this card to pay for your Flexi-pay order.

Please note: if the credit or debit card used to pay Flexi-pay instalments is lost, stolen, or cancelled, you must contact our Customer Services so we can update this for you. We will need to change this card individually on each Flexi-pay order you have with us. Changing the card details stored against your regular Create and Craft account will not automatically update your Flexi-pay account.

Please contact Customer Services and we will be able to take payment from you for your remaining instalments in one go.

We understand that sometimes mistakes happen. If we attempt to take a payment and your bank declines it, we will send you a letter to let you know.

We will attempt to take payment again 14 days after the original instalment date. If your card is declined again, we will add a £15.00, plus VAT administration charge to your outstanding balance which will be payable immediately, along with your missed instalment.

We will attempt to collect an instalment three times before handing it over to a debt collection agency. On the second and third attempt we will add £15.00, plus VAT administration charge to your account.

If you have still not paid, all outstanding payments due for your items (the missed instalments and any future instalments otherwise due at a later date) will be payable immediately in full, together with the combined £30, plus VAT administration charge.

A debt collection agency will be instructed to recover these amounts from you who will add additional charges to the debt. Document and administration charges of 14% plus VAT will be added when the agency is instructed to recover the debt. This charge will be increased to 29% plus VAT if a doorstep collection is required.

Failure to settle the account with the debt collection agency may result in legal action being taken against you and any legal fees and costs added to your debt.

If you find you need to return an item, we will refund your card for the amount you have paid so far for that item excluding Postage & Packaging. If your order was for more than one Flexi-pay item and you still have further instalments to pay, then we will adjust your schedule accordingly and notify you by letter. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Yes. You can do this by logging into your account on our website on the Flexi-pay Plans page. If you change your card detCreate & Craft may provide an instalment amount that differs from the amount you had expected, especially when discount vouchers are involved. If you have applied a discount voucher to your order, the discount voucher has to be split amongst the items on your order, and across the Flexi-pay instalments. When your order cannot be split equally over 2, 3 or 4 instalments, Ideal World will always add the extra to the first instalment, so please bear this in mind.
