How to Make A Mini Baby Gift Album with Shabneez Khan-Muztar

Why not give a mini baby album as a gift to a relative or friend? This mini album has plenty of space to add photos and can easily be carried around in a handbag.

You will need:

  • 12” x 12” Scoreboard
  • Scissors
  • Double Sided Tape
  • Trimcraft First Edition Hey Baby 12 x 12 Paper Pad
  • Paper Trimmer

Time to Make: 2 hours

Skill Level: Intermediate

Instructions:

  1. Take a 12” x 12” sheet of paper and score at 2 3/8” and 7 ¼”. Turn the paper 90 degrees and score at 3 7/8”, 4 1/8”, 8” and 8 ¼“.
  2. Cut away the ¼ “parts as shown.
  3. On the top middle section cut away 2 triangles, on the far right section cut at 1 ¾ “ from the first score line and on the bottom right section cut away 1” from the edge.
  4. On the bottom right section add double sided tape and punch or die cut a semi circle then add double sided tape and stick so it forms a little pocket.
  5. Decorate each of the sections as you wish by matting and layering different papers. I’ve shown examples of what you can do and add tags which can be written on. The whole idea is not to add too much so you can add photos. All the tags I’ve used are cut out from the paper pad.
  6. This is what it looks like folded over.
  7. On the front I’ve matt and layered a sheet of paper together with banners cut out and a sentiment. I’ve also added a vellum belly band to keep the album closed and a little tag to add your name and who the gift is for.
