This very decorative project was inspired by the Elizabethan examples seen at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and by early English versions held at the De Witt Wallace Museum in Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. I have designed and stitched my version of the Sweete bag as a simple holder for my needlework tools. The pack includes linen band, Cashel linen, pre-sorted threads, vintage glass beads, gold plated needles, chart and illustrated instructions. Both men and woman commonly carried Sweete Bags during Elizabethan times, sometimes holding petals and herbs to ward of insects and disease.
