Artistic Trading Cards Pouch

“ATC’s (Artistic Trading Cards) are a brilliant way to share a small snippet of your style with like-minded crafters, I have taken part in a few ATC Swaps in the past and now have a few in my collection, but they were just popped into an envelope, stuffed on my shelf. I decided to have a go at creating a storage pouch to put them into.” Louise Dunbar

  • Beginner

Tools and materials required

  • Score board
  • Paper trimmer
  • Red Liner tape
  • Inks, stamps, stencils to decorate with
  • Velcro dot or small round magnet

Method

Take your card stock and trim to 10.5 x 3’’, and cut a further 2 pieces to 4x3’’

1

Take the 10.5 x 3’’ piece and score it at, 3 ½”, 4 ¾”, 8 ½” and 9 ¾”

Then score the 4x3’’ pieces at every ½’’ along the 4’’ length (½’’, 1’’, 1 ½’’, 2’’, 2 ½’’, 3’’, 3 ½”) then concertina fold them all the way down.

2

Decorate the 10 ½” x 3” piece with whatever medium you wish, be it inks, stamps, stencils, patterned papers etc. Just take note of how it will fold together so you stamp the right way up etc.

3

The concertina pieces become the ‘gussets’ for your pouch, using red liner tape along the 2 edges, stick one piece down in between the 2 score lines on the decorated piece, then the same on the other side, then fold up the front to secure your box shape. The gussets should now spring and allow you to attach a velcro dot to the top flap and close your box in place.

Now you will have a box which is the perfect size for your ATC’s.
