View NowFray the edges of the calico by pulling away the threads. Place this over the right side of the front fabric, secure with a few stitches by hand, or machine sew in place.
Cut out as many leaves from felt as you like, I freehand cut mine, if you're not too confident, use a template or trace a downloaded image.
Arrange your leaves over the calico, overlap a few round the edges, and secure with your glue pen when you're happy with your design. Sew the leaves in place either by hand, or machine with decorative or free motion stitches.
Fold the two backing pieces in half, wrong sides together and press. Pin these over the front of the cushion cover, so that they overlap. Sew along one edge.
Remove the pins. Place the remaining fabric panel over the envelope pieces, pin, then sew all around, leaving a gap of about 6" in the side you've just sewn. Turn the right side out.
Snip across the corners and remove any pins.
Turn your cushion pad the right side out, sew the opening closed by hand. Flip the overlapping envelope sides to the back, press and insert your cushion pad. Enjoy!
