Autumnal Quilt Block Card

I took inspiration from quilt blocks to create this card. Just by your choice of colours you can change a project to link to a season, in my case autumn.

Take a sheet of kraft card and cut to 10cm x 15.5cm. Stamp leaves and flowers from the Dreamees True Friends Stamp Set with Versamark Watermark Ink.

Once the entire page is stamped use clear embossing powder and heat set with your heat tool.

Take another sheet of kraft card 10cm x 15.5cm and heat emboss the sentiment as above.

Cut the heat embossed floral sheet and cut into pieces that are: 5.5cm x 6cm, 4cm x 10cm and 10.5cm x 4cm so they will fit around the sentiment.

Use pairs of distress oxide inks to go over each piece with a blending brush of your choice. I used: Aged Mahogany and Spiced Marmalade, Walnut Stain and Fired Brick and Fossilized Amber and Vintage Photo.

Take some metallic gold paint and mix with water then spatter over the pieces. Dip the pieces in the remaining mixture to add further shimmer and activate the oxide inks.

Use double sided foam pads to adhere the pieces on to the card and add metallic gold Tonic Nuvo Drops to the centre of the flowers to finish.
