Create a buzz using the ScanNCut to add delicate designs to a plain greeting card
Select hexagon motif BA-A042 from the ScanNCut’s library and adjust to 5cm wide, then repeat several times. Arrange the motifs on the screen so they interlock with a narrow border between each one. Once you're happy, group the motif together and unify the patterns so they stay locked as you move the resulting honeycomb around the screen.
Resize the honeycomb so each hexagon is 2cm wide, then repeat the block several times. Build up a large area, then cut from orange and yellow cardstock. Take care when peeling each out as you will be using the background instead of the shapes. Layer the two panels together to create a drop shadow effect. Layer pale heather card to an A5 blank, then fix the section to the front.
Scan the bee template from our pattern pages and save it as both an outline and a detailed cutout. Cut one outline from gold glitter paper and two detailed designs from heather and purple. Layer together with a slight drop shadow and fix to the honeycomb. Decorate the the bee with gems.
Select font FO-A011 and type 'BEE HAPPY'. Resize to a width of 11.5cm and arrange on the screen so there is at least 1cm space around the phrase. Cut the words from gold glitter, then remove the background. Trim to a rectangle, 2.7cm x 12cm, then fix to a slightly larger purple panel. Secure to the bottom of the card with foam pads.
