From the sheet of cream cut a 9cm square, a rectangle 12cm x 6 cm, and the mats from the butterfly and Happy Birthday sentiment.

At this stage all edges could be inked with distress ink to give definition to the layers.

Now take the cream and patterned square and layer on top of each other, do the same with the rectangles.

Next take the butterfly and stick the top layer to the mat just along the body so wings stay loose.

With foam pads to give depth add all elements to the card as seen in the picture.
