How to Hot Foil a Stamp onto a Card - Car Card



Hot foiling is a brilliant art form that allows your projects to truly shine, and thanks to the Go Press and Foil Machine Version 2, it couldn’t be easier for you to bring this stunning technique to your autumn-winter crafting. If you’re an experienced crafter looking to create a greeting card with a difference, this Car Card is the project for you. What better way to perfect your hot foiling skills and wish someone special a happy birthday?!

You Will Need:

  • Go Press and Foil Machine - Version 2
  • Black and Green Cocordination Card Stock
  • Gatsby Cardstock Pad ULT157826
  • “Happy Birthday” Hot Foil Stamp
  • Gold Mirror Finish Foil CO725385

Instructions:

  1. Cut Cocordination Cardstock 8” x 8”. Fold the card in half and score, and then fold the front half back in half and score. Cut 11/2” off the bottom of the card and turn it around.

  2. Cut the patterned paper at 11/2” wide and 6” long, and another at 1” wide and 8” long (the head printed piece at 8” long).

  4. Stick the 1” x 8” piece onto the bottom of the 11/2” piece. Stick the 11/2” x 6” piece down the front of the card. Stick the head piece in the middle of the 11/2” x 8” piece.

  5. Pull out the car from the Gatsby Cardstock Pad and stick onto black cardstock. Trim the edges so they are even. Stick this onto the inside of the card.

  6. Hot foil the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment in gold foil onto the black card using the Go Press and Foil Machine Version 2. Matt and Layer the sentiment onto green card and trim the edges so they are even.

  7. Stick the ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment onto the front half of the card, covering the picture of the car. Stick the 11/2” x 8” piece onto the bottom of the card, only sticking the front half of the 4” and the back 2”.
