Create tone on tone stamped frames to highlight gorgeously elegant decoupage shoe toppers using elements from the Carnation Crafts range.
Select, download and print on Pro Paper your Carnation Crafts Vignette, these can be found via www.carnationcrafts.co.uk. Align your chosen decoupage die set and secure it in place using repositionable tape before running it through your die cutting machine.
Shape your die cuts using ball tools, gently curl the edges of the flowers to give a naturally textured look.
Glue your decoupage layers of your die cut using 3D Glue Gel to give height and dimension. Set to one side to dry.
From 300GSM White Card, trim and score a 6.5” x 6.5” Card Blank.
Cut your card layers from Colour Crave Cardstock, a Pretty Shabby Square from Lilac, a plain white Square Label and a Lavender frame using two Square Label dies.
Create tone on tone stamping over the frame and base card layers using the Carnation stamp set and Tsukineko Grape StazOn Pigment Ink.
Insert the plain white background and mount the frame on foam tape to add height. Mount your card layers to your card blank, again using foam tape.
For added detail, cut a sentiment strip from White Card using the smallest Pretty Shabby Rectangular Die, cut a frame for this using Lavender Colour Crave Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment strip with the “Handmade” Stamp from the Before The Rainbow Stamp Set. Mount these on foam and stick to the back of the card.
When the Carnation Decoupage Shoe topper is dry, add Foiling Adhesive to the highlights of the flowers. Pat Gold Leaf over the shoe, letting it adhere to the adhesive. Rub away the excess foil using a rough sponge.
Mount your shoe to the centre of the frame on the front of your card, adding pearls and crystal embellishments to finish.
