Christmas Tealight Holder Project

  • Occasions
  • 1-2 hours
  • Beginner

Materials Needed:

  • Silhouette Self Adhesive Textured Card in White
  • Glass Jar or Lamp – Min smooth area of 33cm (around) x 10.5cm (high)
  • Spatula tool
  • Curio
  • Cut Mat
  • Battery operated tea light

Designs Used:

  • Deer Son Tree, By Sophie Gallo, Design ID 71287
  • Deer Forest, By Sophie Gallo, Design ID 69299
  • Deer Corner, By Sophie Gallo, Design ID 70014

Instructions:

  1. First of all measure your Jar, then create a box to fit those dimensions using the scale option, my jar was 33.5cm x 11cm I wouldn’t recommend going much smaller than this due to the detail in the cut

  2. Lay out your designs inside the box to make sure they are the right size and that they will fit around your jar, it is ok to work off of the mat at the moment

  3. You can now delete the box and arrange the designs on the cutting mat, as you can see , with a bit of careful rotating I got all of mine on the mat

  4. You are now ready to cut your designs – the adhesive card does have pre set settings within the software but the settings will cut through the card and the backing which I find much harder to get off of the mat for intricate designs so I cut mine with the settings Blade:3 Speed:6 Thickness:19 which gave me a nice cut but didn’t go all the way through making the designs easier to work with

  5. Next you are ready to peel away the 3 designs and place evenly on your jar, add a battery operated tealight and you are finished!
