A.C.Moore: My Creative Ideas Book



A fabulous way of keeping all your creative ideas and inspiration in one place, this do-it-yourself ‘My Creative Ideas Book’ is both practical and fun. To make yours truly stand out, edge each section with a black chisel pen to emphasise each layer.

You Will Need:

  • Paper Pads:
  • Morning Brew
  • Vintage Wallpaper
  • Prismatic
  • Black Chisel End Pen
  • Paper Trimmer
  • PVA Glue
  • ScanNCut or Alphabet Stamps or Dies
  • 12” x 12” Ring-Bound Sketch Book

Instructions:

  1. Use a selection of papers from the Morning Brew, Vintage Wallpaper, and Prismatic paper pads and cut them down to different sizes. Lay them out onto the ring-bound sketch book so they are pleasing to the eye and glue them in place.

  2. Cut 2 7” (180mm) scalloped circles, 1 from dark pink card and the other from light pink card. Cut a 5 ¾” (147mm) circle from the dark pink card. May and layer these as shown in the photo.

  3. Using either a font from your ScanNCut, dies, or stamps, write “MY CREATIVE IDEAS BOOK” on the front of a 5 ½” (144mm) circle of patterned paper.

  4. Cut a stem from the light and dark pink card. Cut 2 x leaf shapes 4” x 2 ¼” (100 x 50mm), Mat and layer, and glue to the front of your book. Then glue the flower on top.

  5. Cut 10 1” (25mm) five-petal flowers and glue to the book as shown in the photo.

  6. Draw, stamp or die-cut “2018” onto a piece of the same patterned paper you used for the larger flower. Mat and layer it onto the dark and light pink paper, and then glue onto your book.
