Daisy Greeting Card

This spring-inspired card is a cheery way to welcome the new season.

Tools and materials required

  • TODO machine
  • Green Cardstock
  • Cream Cardstock
  • Pink Cardstock
  • TODO letterpress template
  • TODO flower die
  • Pink ink-pad
  • Adhesives

Choose a letterpress design for the background and colour the raised area using an ink-pad. Place the template face up on the machine bed and lay a cream card over it. Put the flexible letterpress mat C on top without shifting the card and then add the A plate.

Depending on the thickness of the card, set the machine pressure between 6-8, and roll the carriage over the stack. Carefully remove the plates and card to avoid excess ink from smudging your design. Trim the background to size and matt onto co-ordinating card before fixing to the centre of a coloured blank.

Sandwich the flower die and pink card between plates A and B with a pressure around 6-8. Emboss the motif using the additional sections of the die. Replace the plate next to the card with the flexible C mat and adjust the pressure as necessary. Cut and emboss a second bloom from green and fix to the blank. Create the flower head from the pink motif, highlight the embossed pattern with an ink-pad then layer onto the green bloom.
