You Will Need:

  • Teacup and saucer
  • Fork (a cheap bendable one works best)
  • Glue gun and plenty of glue sticks
  • Dried moss
  • Chenille chicks
  • Die cut flowers
  • Mini eggs (buy 2 bags, 1 to stick the other to eat!)

Instructions:

  1. CBend the fork so that it forms a ‘Z’ shape. Glue the pronged end to the saucer using plenty of hot glue. Wait a minute for it to set before gluing the cup to the other end of the fork.

    Top Tip:
You’ll need to make the cup balance, so that it stays upright and doesn’t tip backwards when finished. I had a few attempts at this, and found that if you try and get the fork end into the centre of the cup, it seems to balance best!

  2. Glue the moss around the saucer and fork making sure you cover the fork completely. Don’t forget to do the back of it as well!

  3. Shape your flowers using a ball tool and piece of foam. Flip the flower good side down onto the foam, then rub your ball tool over each petal until they start to curl.

Next, flip the flower over and push your ball tool into the centre.

  4. Start gluing some of the chicks in place on top of the moss. Add some eggs and flowers to fill in the gaps, and keep adding chicks, eggs and flowers until you are happy with the way it looks.

Finish off by adding a gem to the centre of each of the flowers. And there you have it, your very own Floating Easter Teacup!
