With a Brother ScanNCut machine and a little bit of know-how, it’s easy to create this gorgeous brooch!
Using a hot dry iron attach the heat n bond to the back of all five squares of felt. I cut the heat n bond first so that I could iron it on without scorching the felt.
Cut a 4inch scalloped circle (from basic shapes) from the pink felt using the deep cut blade with a pressure setting of 2 and a blade depth of 6. This may vary.
Cut a 3.5inch plain circle from the yellow felt and iron this on to the pink scalloped circle.
Cut a 2.5inch circle from orange felt. Move the circle away from the outer edge of the virtual mat as you will need space around it for the next step.
Add a 3inch circle to your virtual mat and using the directional arrows line it up do that the 2.5inch circle from step 4 is in the centre. You can do this by lining up the cross hatches. Delete the smaller circle and cut the larger one. This should leave you with a frame. Iron this on to your brooch.
Draw a wobbly flower template as shown and scan it in using the scan to cut data option. You must make sure that all the lines meet. Choose the middle option and save the design.
Cut three of the flowers from pink felt and curl them to make the flowers. Use hot glue to keep them in place. Add a black bead to the centre of each of the flowers again using hot glue.
Cut 3 X 2 inch leaves from the pale green felt and 3. 1.5inch leaves from the dark green felt. The leaf design is one of the pre-installed images. Iron the two colours of leaves together.
Add some decorative stitching to each of the layers and the leaves as shown and finally glue the flowers in place.
Cut another 4inch scalloped circle from orange felt to cover all the stitching on the back and add a safety pin.
