  • Wet glue

Method

Take your 12 x 12 piece of card.

1

Make a mark at 6” and draw a vertical line down the centre.

2

Place your ruler at the 12” mark on one of the corners. Keeping the 12” mark on the corner of the card, move the ruler until the” 0” mark is directly over the centre line. Draw a line from corner to the centre line. Repeat for the other side. You should now have a triangle with all three sides measuring 12” long.

3

Cut along these lines marked so you now have your triangle base.

4

Measure and mark at 6” on each side of the triangle.

5

Draw lines between each of these marks, you should now have another equal triangle inside the larger one.

6

Now measure and mark 4” from each point and draw lines parallel to the Now measure and mark 4” from each point and draw lines parallel to the small triangle. Now score along all the lines you have just drawn.

7

Once you have scored all lines, rub out the pencil marks.

8

Mountain fold the outer score lines and valley fold the inner ones.

9

Your star fold out shape is now ready to decorate.

10

It can be a bit tricky folding it up. Tuck the last flap under the first to slot it together.

11

Cut triangles and strips from patterned paper to cover front and back, this is needed as both sides show when folded up.
