This gorgeous greetings card is ideal for a glamorous loved one.
Stick your purple mat down on the front of the card blank. Take your white card stock and start randomly stamp some of the smaller stamps from your set all over the page using a co-ordinating purple ink. Stamp some on and off the page. You have just created your own designer patterned paper. (usually when I do this, I stamp onto an A4 piece of card stock then scan into my computer and save it onto a USB stick, that way I have the paper ready to print whenever I want to use it)
I chose this lady stamp, but didn’t want her in the dress which came with the full stamp, so I stamped out the dress onto the white card stock, then again onto a sticky note, cut round the sticky note to create a mask. Lay the cut out sticky note over the top of the image on the card, then ink up the lady full stamp and line up over the top of the mask so it will look like she’s wearing the floaty dress when the sticky note is finished.
Stamp out a handbag and 2 shoes in black ink. Colour in your stamped images using the pens of you choice. Used Le Plume alcohol pens (V755, V757, E853).
From the patterned card stock you created, cut out the largest star die from your set from the centre of it. I did mine at a slight angle, but I meant to – honest!! Then glue your acetate to the back of it.
Put foam tape around the edges of the star on the acetate side, ensuring your leave no gaps, otherwise the glitter will fall through. Also add foam tape along the edges of the card.
Pop a little bit of the glitter onto the purple piece on your card front. Then peel away the backing paper from the tape and carefully pop the front of the card down on top of the glitter, giving the foam tape a good press down to seal.
Cut round the stamped lady, shoes and handbag, attached some foam pads to the back of them and place onto your card front as topper pieces. Then simply stamp and cut out a sentiment, pop on the card and you’re done. A card fit for any lovely lady!!
Top Tip: When stamping, stamp onto a piece of foam to help make sure the images come out nice and crisp each time.
