Get The Nation Crafting Kit: Make a Father’s Day Card

This intermediate level project is perfect for those who’ve had a go at cardmaking before. Use your Get the Nation Crafting Kit to create a lovely Father’s Day card for a DIY-obsessed dad!

  • Papercraft
  • < 1 hour
  • Intermediate

You will need:

  • The workshop backing paper, topper sheet, card base, foam tape & double-sided tape, all from the Get The Nation Crafting Kit
  • Scissors
  • Navy card
  • White card
  • Father’s day stamp
  • Black ink
  • Blue ink
  • Sponge applicator

  1. Trim the backing paper to fit the card base, and stick it to the front of the card using double-sided tape.

  2. Cut a piece of navy card slightly smaller than the card front, and stick that on top of the backing paper you just added.

  3. Pop out the large topper and small decoupage pieces, and layer these up using the foam tape.

  4. Stamp the sentiment onto a piece of white card using black ink. Sponge blue ink around the edge of this, then matt and layer your sentiment onto another piece of navy card. I added a couple of tool brads too!

  5. Pop the sentiment onto your card front using foam tape, and there you have it! A gorgeous Father’s Day card, that wasn’t too tricky to create!
