Tools and Materials Required

  • Coloured card stock (I used purple, orange and green)
  • Black card sock
  • Alphabet die set
  • Diamond nesting die set
  • Halloween stamp set
  • Black ink
  • Glue
  • Ribbon
  • Red liner tape

Take the largest diamond from your nesting dies and cut this out 9 times, if using 3 colours, cut 3 of each colour.

Score along the centre of you diamond shapes, so that when it’s folded, it will be a triangular shape.

Using some halloween themed stamps, stamp some images onto the die cut pieces, remember that these will be folded, so stamp on one half then turn the piece round, so that your images will be stamped the right way up.
I stamped some of the images in black ink and some in versa mark then white embossing powder to add some more dimension.

Cut out the letters to spell HALLOWEEN using your alphabet dies and black card stock..

Lay out your pieces how you want them to be on the bunting, i did green, purple, orange in a repeating pattern along. Then glue on your die cut letters, making sure you glue them in the right order (i’ve made this mistake before, it’s easily done)

Cut a length of ribbon long enough so that your bunting will fit on leaving a hanging piece and each end. Then stick the bunting into place using red liner tape. To do this, put a piece of red liner along each side of the score lines, stick one side down on the ribbon, then fold over and stick the other side down. If you want to you can add a dab of glue to the corners of the bunting to secure these in place. And there you have it, your very own handmade halloween bunting.
