  1. Make Your Own Hanging Easter Decorations

On white paper or card, draw out your chosen animal shape, ensuring the main body is a large circle (You can draw around a circular glass, pot or can to make sure it’s the perfect shape!) Next, draw out a slightly smaller circle that will fit in the middle of this circular body. Cut these out carefully using scissors. These are your templates! Draw around these multiple times on coloured card of your choice, to ensure all your decorations will be the same shape and size. Carefully cut these out of the coloured card.

  2. Make Your Own Hanging Easter Decorations

For each individual decoration, take the smaller circle, and fold it in half, then unfold it, so there is a centreline. This will be your Easter bunny’s tummy! Attach double-sided tape.

  3. Make Your Own Hanging Easter Decorations

Fold the circle vertically along the glued back of the honeycomb paper; each half of the circle on either side of the glued back. The lines of the honeycomb paper should be horizontal.

  4. Make Your Own Hanging Easter Decorations

Cut around the card circle and carefully unfold the honeycomb paper.

  5. Make Your Own Hanging Easter Decorations

Attach double-sided tape onto the back of the honeycomb paper (the card circle) and attach the ‘tummy’ onto the cut-out shape.

  6. Make Your Own Hanging Easter Decorations

Use a marker to draw eyes, nose and mouth onto the card shape. Make a hole for hanging. Attach a piece of string, and hang pride of place in your window, mantelpiece, doorway or Easter tree!
