How to make a Gift Wallet by Vikki Gorham

As money seems to be the preferred present these days, for so many occasions why not create this beautiful Gift Wallet. The Docrafts Papermania 12 x 12 Paper pad is so beautiful, and you will get so many out of this pad! You can always write a personalised note inside, so it also serves as a greetings card.

Instructions

Take a sheet of 12x12 card stock and cut down to 8½ x 12 inches. For this project I used Cream Score on the 12 x 12 side at 3/8/11 inches, crease with your bone folder. Fold back the 11 inch score line.

From the remaining card stock cut a strip 2 x 12 inches – this will form your belly band.

From the paper pad take two sheets of your choice
Trim two pieces to 2¾ x 7¾ ( your two front mat pieces)
1 piece at 7¾ x 4¾ (your back mat piece)
1 piece at 1¾ x 11¾ (this is your belly band mat piece)
1 piece at ¾ x 7¾ (this is for your inside flap)

1

Use your corner punch to round the corners of your mats, or leave square if you prefer. Also round the corner of your front flap/and your inside flap on your card wallet base.

2

Use red line tape to secure the sides of your gift wallet.

3

Attach your mats. Your Pinflair Bookbinding glue is great to do all your mats, as does not buckle, and you only need a small amount.

Wrap your belly band around your Gift Wallet, leave it a little loose, so it easily goes on/off and secure with red line tape.

4

Using your flower dies, cut one large and one small flower, use a glue dot on the back of the smaller one. Secure both to your belly band with your bookbinding glue.

Top Tip Make sure you decide which papers you are using on which part of your wallet first, and write in pencil on the back where they will be stuck.
