How to make your stencil art

Why not make your own stencil art, this is fun for all of the family and when you had the stencil you can use it again and again.

You only need a few basic papercrafting supplies to create this simple yet stunning art. Not only is it a beautiful way to add handcrafted decoration to your home, This fun project can be done on so many material such as wood, glass, canvas and many more.

You will need:

  • Acetate
  • craft knife
  • Pinflair Stencil Glue
  • sponges
  • A4 canvas
  • Acrylics paint in black and silver

    Print templet out.

    Position on to acetate then cut away all grey areas with a craft knife.

    Apply some Pinflair Stencil Glue to the back of your stencil by adding a small amount of glue to the sponge and then dab it onto the back of a stencil.

    Leave to dry for about 5 minutes or until the glue has gone tacky.

    (The stencil can be reused many times before you need to re-apply glue.)

    Whilst the glue is setting, apply some black acrylic paint with a sponge to the middle of the canvas. You do not need to be neat with this.

    Leave to dry

    Now place the stencil glue side down onto the canvas and push down to hold in place.

    With a sponge apply some silver acrylic paint through the stencil.

    Remove the stencil and leave to dry

    Apply some silver paint around the edge of the canvas with a sponge.

    Leave to dry

    All finished and time to hang up.
