Get crafty this Halloween, with this spooktacular Mason Jar Lid Pumpkin. A fantastic project for the whole family to enjoy, this DIY decoration will make a boo-tiful addition to your home or garden.

  • Occasions
  • < 1 hour
  • Intermediate

You will need:

  • 20x Mason jar lid bands
  • Orange spray paint
  • Green twine
  • Twigs
  • Hot glue gun and glue
  • Wire
  • Fabric leaves
  • Green pipe cleaners

  • 1

Spray paint the mason jar lid bands, allow the top to dry and then spray paint the bottom.

  • 2

Using the twine, string all the bands together. Make sure they are all facing the same way and tie the ends of the twine together.

    Helen’s helpful hint:
To help separate the bands once it’s tied together, place something large in the middle. This will help to create an even pumpkin shape and it will hold its shape whilst you are creating the rest of the pumpkin.

  • 3

Collect a selection of different width twigs and tie them together tightly with wire.

  • 4

Wrap the twigs with the twine and glue it to the centre of the pumpkin.

  • 5

Use a large pen and twist the pipe cleaners around it. Glue the leaves and pipe cleaners to the twigs.
