You Will Need:

  • Papers, paper frame, pearl brad, mini bow, sentiment stamp, ivory card blank and adhesive pearls from the Victoria and Albert Card Making Collection
  • Dovecraft Premium Textured Cardstock in navy blue
  • Heat tool and Stamping block
  • Stamping card
  • clear ink pad
  • Embossing powder
  • Blue distress ink
  • Foam pads
  • Adhesive
  • Craft knife and ruler

  1. Trim a piece of the navy Dovecraft textured cardstock to 12cm by 17.3cm (4 ¾ inch by 6 ¾ inch) and a piece of patterned paper from the V&A collection to 16.6cm by 11.5cm (6.5 inch by 4.5 inch). Mat and layer together using your chosen adhesive.

  2. Trim a second paper design from the collection to 15cm (6 inches) square and follow the origami dress tutorial here to make a dress topper.

  3. Fix a mini bow and pearl brad from the V&A collection onto the dress where the folds meet in the middle.

  4. Adhere a paper frame to the card at an angle and place the dress on top.

  5. Stamp the ‘Thinking of You’ sentiment onto stamping card using white or clear ink and heat emboss with white or silver embossing powder. Using an applicator, apply blue distress ink on top and cut the sentiment out in a rectangle shape. Mat and layer onto a piece of the navy cardstock and fix to the top right of the card, using a foam pad, or dimensional glue.

  6. Finish with three blue adhesive pearls from the kit, positioned in the top left corner of the card.
