Instructions

Select a spiral bound sketch book.

1

Remove the front and back covers by gently easing open the spiral binding. Tape up the ribbon ties using masking tape.

2

Paint the front and back covers in DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics Medium Grey Value 6, this provides an even base on which to work. Once dry, pop the covers on plastic cups raised about a plastic tray.

3

Select your paint colours and pour a small amount in to a separate plastic cup. For each cup, add pouring medium at a ration of 2 parts pouring medium to 1 part paint. Stir gently with a craft stick until mixed.

4

Pour your colours in to another plastic cup, layering the colours. Leave a little of each paint colour in it’s original cup.

5

Pour the mix of paints from the single cup over your covers. Begin in the centre working outwards. Lift the covers and move and rotate to get a good coverage of paint over the surface. Use a craft stick to encourage the paint to the sides of the covers. Remember to clear any excess paint from the holes using a pokey tool. Leave to dry.

6

Once dry, carefully open the spiral binding and insert the covers.
