You Will Need:

  • 2 Printed Paper Crown Templates (download here)
  • 300gsm A4 Double-Sided Cardstock (designs and colours optional)
  • Glue or Double-Sided Tape
  • Embossing Machine (optional)
  • Embossing Folder (optional)
  • Embellishments (e.g. glitter, gemstones, beads)
  • Paints or Inks (optional)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil

Steps:

  1. Cut out the printed crown template and then draw the image onto a piece of A4 card. You need to repeat this process twice to create the front and back of the crown. (Remember, you can use any colour or style of cardstock you like to create the crown.)

  2. If you’re using plain white cardstock, you will need to colour in the crown and allow it to dry completely before moving on to the next stage. You can use coloured pens and pencils, paints, inks, glitter or patterned paper to decorate the crown – you have complete creative freedom here!

  3. To give your crown texture and dimension, you can use an embossing machine with an embossing folder. Alternatively, you can add fun details like gemstones, stickers or beads to give the crown glittering detail. Let your imagination run wild! Allow the crown to dry completely before moving on to the next stage.

  4. Now it’s time to assemble the crown. Using either double-sided tape or glue, attach the two separate crown pieces together at each end, making sure they are secure. If you’re using glue to assemble the crown, you may need to hold the two ends together until they’re completely dry, and then voila!
