You Will Need:

  • First Edition Nesting Doily die set
  • First Edition Traditional Sentiments die set
  • First Edition Mariposa 12x12 paper pad
  • Dovecraft white 6x6 card blank
  • Vellum
  • Papercraft adhesives and tools

  1. Mark a point half way across the front of the card blank (7.5cm or 3 inches) and trim vertically. Mat and layer a piece of green butterfly patterned paper from the First Edition Mariposa Paper Pad, measuring 6.5cm by 14cm on top of a piece of the purple pearlescent paper measuring 7cm by 14.5cm and fix to the front panel of the card – now a half card front.

  2. Cut a 14.5cm square of the purple pearlescent paper and top with the white butterfly patterned paper trimmed to 14cm square. Adhere this panel to the inside of the card.

  3. Die cut the Birthday Wishes sentiment from the green butterfly card stock and fix on top of a vellum doily cut using the 9cm doily die.

  4. Cut the 11.5cm doily from purple pearlescent card from the pad and top with the vellum doily only applying glue to the vellum where the birthday sentiment will hide it.

  5. Place the doilies on top of the front panel of the card, only attaching on the left hand side so that it overlaps the inside of the card.
