Ideal for wedding gifts, birthdays and Christmas, create a lovely gift box that’s just for that special person. The “Just For You” sentiment is easily adaptable to suit multiple occasions; the box is easy to put together and decorate following these simple steps. Created by Ann-Marie Vaux.
Die-cut the Paved with Gold cardstock using the box base. The die also makes the fold lines as well.
Take a Bone Folder or another tool that makes sharp creases to fold all the score lines on the box base.
At one side of the box base, use your tape runner and add glue along the edge (this is the plain side of your cardstock).
Fold the box sides together and stick them together.
If adding a gift, pop it in now, then fold in the tabs at both ends. Use your tape runner again on the large flaps on the box ends, and fold inwards to stick down.
Die-cut the ivory cardstock with the wording die and then die-cut 3 flowers from the flower die.
Ink the wording die-cut and the flower die-cuts using ink of your choice. I used Distress Inks in Gathered Twigs, Soot, Worn Lipstick, and Old Letters.
Cut a piece of the ivory cardstock to the same size as the wording die-cut to make a wording base, and then ink it to match the wording.
Glue the wording die-cut on top of the wording base you’ve just created using glue of your choice.
Attach the wording base to the top of the box in the centre using either the tape runner or glue of your choice.
Add the tiny pearls to the centres of the flowers using wet glue.
Attach the flowers to the top of the box, towards the side of the wording.
Your box is finished!
