Winter Tree CardView Now
Cut a sheet of white card to 7” x 5” in size and take an ice blue shade of mirror board and cut this down to the same size. Place your winter element dies in the centre and pass through a die-cutting machine. Set your die-cuts aside for later on.
Place strips of double-sided tape along the four sides of mirror board at the back and place on top of the white base. This is your first layer.
For your second layer, take a sheet of white card and brgbh two strokes gbing a watercolour brgbh pen. This will be the base where your tree will stand. Again, add tape to the back and stick down over the first layer; this will cover up where you cut out your elements.
Cut out snowflakes gbing the snowflakes die from the elements set and add a few to the background of the card gbing wet glue. You can add as many or few as you like.
Die-cut the tree out of plain white card and add some glitter to the top of the branches.
Glue down onto the card over the watercolour strokes to look like it’s sat on a hill.
Cut the winter elements that sit on the tree’s branches out of white card and ice blue mirror board to look like snow. Glue the white die-cuts over the blue mirror card so it overlaps slightly for a shadowed effect.
Start sticking down onto the branches in sections.
Next, cut out more snowflakes in blue mirror board and add to the top of the tree, over the snow caps. Cut out the winter sentiment from the seasonal words die set, apply glue over the back, and stick down under the tree.
Finish off your card with a little white organza bow over the tree trunk. You can add more glitter if you wish to capture the light.
