  • Batting–54" x 66"

Sewing Directions

  1. Pin and sew one white 6” finished quarter square triangle (QST) and two pink 3” finished half square triangles (HST) together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward pink triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  2. Pin and sew one pink 6” finished QST and two white 3” finished HSTs together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the white triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  3. Pin and sew one white 6” finished QST and two orange 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the orange triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  4. Pin and sew one orange 6” finished QST and two white 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the white triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  5. Pin and sew one white 6” finished QST and two yellow 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the yellow triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  6. Pin and sew one yellow 6” finished QST and two white 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the white triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  7. Pin and sew one white 6” finished QST and two green 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the green triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  8. Pin and sew one green 6” finished QST and two white 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the white triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  9. Pin and sew one white 6” finished QST and two blue 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the blue triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  10. Pin and sew one blue 6” finished QST and two white 3” finished HST together to form a flying geese unit as shown. Press seams toward the white triangles. Make 16 flying geese units.

  11. Lay out flying geese units in rows using the bed quilt diagram as a guide.

  12. Pin and sew 20 rows, each with eight flying geese units. Press seams in alternating directions for each row.

  13. Pin and sew 20 row units together. Press seams toward added rows.

Quilting & Finishing

  1. Layer batting between bed quilt top and backing.

  2. Pin or baste layers together.

  3. Quilt as desired

  4. Add blue fabric binding, mitering corners.
