Washi Tape is a versatile medium which can be used in a variety of ways. Using washi tape, I created my own designer paper and used it to make a stylish aperture card, and you can do the same!
Take a piece of white cardstock and cut the following: 1 piece at 14.5cm x 14.5cm, and 1 piece at 13cm x 13cm.
The piece that measures 14.5cm x 14.5cm will be the piece you need to apply the washi tape to. Start in the corner and apply the tape from one edge to the other. Continue this until the piece of card is completely covered. You can use as many different colours and widths of tape as you like. Wrap the extra ends of tape round the back of the cardstock and trim off any overhanging pieces with scissors.
Take the piece of cardstock that measures 13cm x 13cm and cut out a star shape using the largest of your nesting dies.
Now add the rhinestones around the star aperture that you have just created.
Using tape or glue, stick the washi tape background you created onto the front of the card blank. Stamp a sentiment of your choosing onto the top corner of the aperture card and leave to dry. Once the stamped sentiment is dry, adhere the aperture to the card front using foam pads to create dimension.
And there you have it, a bright and colourful card, designed using washi tape and rhinestones!
