Tools and materials required

  • Spray bottle
  • Brea Reese inks
  • Heat gun
  • Brea Reese watercolour brush
  • Anything you want to colour

In a spray bottle, put 4/5 drops of ink, of your chosen colour, add water slowly, to avoid wasting your ink, and test until your happy with the colour intensity. You can always add more ink/water.

Use your spray bottle to colour ribbon, seam binding, paper flowers, shells, lace, spray onto photocopy paper to make pages for journals , fabric flowers, spritz through paper doillies, use on die cuts, beads with ridges, so the ink catches, chipboard, Paper Clay.

Use your Brea Reese waterbrush filled with ink and apply directly for a more intense colour.

Dry with a heat gun or air dry. Try on small pieces first, I guarantee you will find lots more you can colour, nothing will be safe.

Repeat the process on another piece of card, to use for embellishments. Mount onto a 6x6 card blank with foam tape. Use any flower die you have and a strip of some handmade washi tape.

Top Tip – Wear gloves especially for darker colours
