When it comes to making quick and easy cards that look great, the ScanNCut is your best friend
The big day is on its way – chocolate, flowers and fun! If you fancy making a paper egg hunt for the little ones in your life, lovely cards for friends and family, or even confetti, the ScanNCut has all you need. The egg symbol (BA-A098) can be found by pressing 'Pattern', then the circle and square icon. Cut lots from A4 Spot UV Paper Pack!
If you want to make a summer birthday card, or even a postcard, there’s a number of clever images that you can cut out from the ScanNCut. For instance, there’s a palm tree (AR-A030), or an ice-cream (AR-B012), and you can even make sandy beaches by welding two semi-circles (BA-A055) together and cutting them from textured paper, like Lia Griffith’s Double-Sided Crepe Paper. Once done, why not make your own envelope too, by pressing 'Pattern', the paint splodge and present icon, then the two envelopes icon.
If you want to be really clever, you can make a birthday card based on the receiver’s zodiac sign. The ScanNCut brilliantly has symbols for each of the zodiacs – you can get to them by pressing 'Pattern', the paint splodge and present icon, then the bull and scales icon. Why not matt a Pisces (AR-D012), Leo (AR-D005) or Libra (AR-D007) symbol as a topper?
Whether it’s for a young couple who are getting their own place, or for some new neighbours who have just bought that house next to yours, you have everything you need to make a new home celebratory card. Simply find the symbols by pressing 'Pattern', the paint splodge and present icon, then the house and clock icon, for lots of homely images. You could use a key (AR-E010) and postbox (AR-E011) die-cut, or even make the card blank into a house (AR-E002) if you’re feeling adventurous.
New additions to the family are definitely something to be commemorated, and if you pair it with sweet pastel paper, like Lynda Chapman's World of Paper Pastel Collection, you’ll get precious results. Find the baby images by pressing 'Pattern', the paint splodge and present icon, then the pumpkin and present icon. There’s a cute bottle (AR-I037), rocking horse (AR-I039), crane carrying a baby (AR-I045), pushchair (AR-I044) and more!
A big event like a wedding calls for some real elegance. For instance, you can use bride (AR-I049), cake (AR-I030) and bouquet (AR-I033) die cuts, mounted on a card blank with pretty lacy borders – these can be found by pressing ‘Pattern’, then the bobbly and wave line icon. Make it with Luxury Collections’ A4 Glitter Paper for a truly celebratory finish.
Why not try something a little unconventional by going for a pack of cards motifs. It could be for an overall Alice in Wonderland theme, or to represent a winning hand at poker if your wishing the receiver luck. By pressing ‘Pattern’, then the square and circle icon, you’ll find a spade (AR-A070), club (AR-A071), diamond (AR-A072) and heart (AR-A067). Four of a kind!
