How to Make Limoncello Croquembouche

How to Make Strawberry & Cream Verrines

Who doesn’t love a dessert that they can have all to themselves? A verrine is basically a pudding in a glass that’s served at the end of a dinner party, usually distinctly layered. Impress all of your guests with a hit of flavour; these strawberries and cream layered verrines are sure to make a long-lasting impression. So easy to make, you needn’t have to spend hours in the kitchen, either!

Prep Time: Less than 20 minutes

Serves: 8

  • 200g of Cream Cheese
  • 200ml of Double Cream
  • 2tsp of Vanilla Extract
  • 500g of Strawberries (plus extra for decoration)
  • 6 tbsp of Icing Sugar

  • 8 Glasses (tumblers, wine glasses, champagne flutes, etc.)
  • Mixing Bowls
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Metal Spoon
  • Knife
  • Fork

  1. Measure out your ingredients and prepare your strawberries by removing the stalks and chopping them into quarters.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the cream cheese, double cream, 5 tablespoons of icing sugar and vanilla extract, until softly whipped.
  3. Tip half of the strawberries into another bowl with the remaining icing sugar and crush them with the back of a fork, until you have a thick puree.
  4. Now you can start layering the desserts. Start with the puree; spoon a small amount into the bottom of each glass and sprinkle in a few of the remaining strawberries.
  5. Blob a spoonful of cream on top of the puree and smooth over. Add another puree layer with chunky strawberries and continue until you reach the top of the glass. Finish with a swirled layer of cream topped off with a drizzle of puree and halved strawberries!
