Summery Mini Tissue Holder

Summery Mini Tissue Holder

“Make a pretty, useful gift for an occasion such as sympathy or get well. A well-received gift for those suffering with hayfever or summer colds too!” - Shabneez Khan-Muztar

You will need:

  • Dovecraft Fairy Tales 12 x 12 Paper Pad
  • Tattered Lace Essential Mini Squares Die Set
  • Stix 2 Red Liner Tape
  • Small Tissue Pack
  • Scissors
  • Scoreboard

Time to Make: 30 minutes

Skill Level: Intermediate

  1. Summery Mini Tissue Holder Take a sheet of floral patterned paper from the Fairy Tales pad and turn it over. Cut to 7” x 6 ¼ “ and with the short side at the top score at 1” and 5 ¼ “.
  2. Summery Mini Tissue Holder Rotate 90 degrees so the longer side is along the top and score at ½ “, 1 ½ “, 3 ¾ “ and 4 ¾ “.
  3. Summery Mini Tissue Holder With the ½ “ score on your left, cut from the bottom of the paper to the first score line and from the top of the paper to the first score line so you are left with a flap. Make cuts as shown and make them slightly angled to make it easier to make the box.
  4. Summery Mini Tissue Holder Fold the paper the floral side up in half and either use a 2 ½ “ square die or cut a rectangular shape for the tissues to dispense from.
  5. Summery Mini Tissue Holder Cut a strip of paper 1 ½ “ x 4” and add a contrasting strip of paper across it before sticking a butterfly in the centre.
  6. Summery Mini Tissue Holder Stick the butterfly topper below the gap.
  7. Summery Mini Tissue Holder Add adhesive as shown. I tend to use red liner tape as for construction projects as I find the hold is stronger.
