This is a fun and easy project that shows how you can use your dies to create your own stencils and achieve your own patterned paper look!
Using the balloon die from the Ad-Roar-Able Lions Die Set, cut a balloon from a piece of acetate. This will become your stencil.
Using your cardstock, create a card base and use some low-tack tape to adhere to your work-surface.
Hold your balloon stencil in place over your card, and then use an ink blending tool to add colour over the top. You can do this by tapping the foam tool onto the ink pad, and then use light circular motions to rub the foam blending tool over the stencil.
Repeat all over the card, and you can use different colours to create a bright colourful background.
Use some smaller images from the stamp set to fill in any gaps, and add some more interest to the card front.
Cut a piece of vellum using a rectangle die or trimmer. Rub all over with the embossing powder tool to prep your surface, then stamp the message ‘You’re Pawsitively Ad-Roar-Able’ from the Ad-Roar-Able Lions Stamp Set, with clear embossing ink. To get the perfect impression, use a stamping tool.
Sprinkle black embossing powder over the top, shake off the excess and then heat with a heat tool to melt the powder.
Stamp the Ad-Roar-Able Lion stamp onto cardstock, and colour in using markers or your preferred colouring medium. Die cut the image using the coordinating dies. Stick the lion to the vellum, underneath the sentiment.
Use the same lion die to cut a piece of craft foam – this will serve as a way to adhere your vellum to the card front, but still have some dimension. Adhere the foam lion shape to the underside of the vellum, directly beneath your coloured lion. Add some adhesive to the bottom side of the craft foam and stick onto your blending card front.
Finish your card with a few sequins, and hey presto – an Ad-Roar-Able card!
