All Laced Up

The All Laced Up papercraft project is perfect for creating a card for someone special. This project features lace accents and a lovely quote placed in the middle of a heart.

  1. Cut a 10x5-1/2" rectangle from latte cardstock. Score at 2-1/2" and 8". Measure up 3" from the bottom of each edge and mark. Using a ruler, draw a faint pencil line from the 3?” point to the top of the scored line, repeat for the other side. Trim away the triangle to create a short fall gate fold card.

  1. Cut a 5" square from backing paper. Gently ink with Antique Linen Distress Ink and mat onto the inside back of the card. Using the Beloved Borders die set, small scallop, cut four borders and mat onto the inside of the card to create a lacy border. Cut a 3/4x3" strip from complimentary cardstock and mat onto the inside of both gates to create a pocket.

  2. Cut two 2x3/4" strips of vanilla cardstock. Measure up 3" from the bottom right of one of the strips. Using a ruler, draw a faint pencil line from the 3” point to the opposite edge of strip. Trim away the triangle. Repeat for the left side. Using the Rose Garden embossing folder, emboss both strips and mat onto the gates.

  3. Cut a 3" square from vanilla cardstock. Using the Rose Garden Border embossing folder, emboss the top of the card only. Gently ink around the edges and across the embossed roses with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Mat onto a 4-1/2" square cut from complimentary backing paper. Cut a 5" square from vanilla cardstock. Gently ink around the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Create a loop with ivory ribbon and sandwich it between the rose square and the vanilla square to create a greeting square.

  4. Using the Hearts Beat As One die set, cut No.2 from vanilla cardstock. Using the Rose Garden embossing folder, emboss the heart. Gently ink around the edges with Antique Linen Distress Ink and mat onto the greeting square. Using Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circles Small, 1?”, cut one from vanilla cardstock and gently ink around the edge with Antique Linen Distress Ink. Using Potting Soil ink, stamp the sentiment onto the scalloped circle and mat onto the greeting square. Add three faux pearls just under the sentiment.

  5. Using the All Laced Up die, cut one from peach pearl cardstock and mat it across the center of the pocket. Place the greeting square into the pocket and finish with faux pearls.
