You can create beautiful realistic looking flowers using Altenew stamps and inks for a professional looking card in no time at all.
Chose the flower image of your choice from the stamp set and pick the three ink colours you will want to use for the stamping. As a general rule when working with layered stamps you will use your lightest ink on the first layer and then add detail with the darker inks. For this card the stamping will be done on a card panel that is slightly smaller than the card base.
Stamp the first layer of the stamp in each corner of the card panel. I’m using coral berry ink as my lightest colour.
Add the second layer using Ruby Red ink. These Altenew flowers are really simple to align but they also have a layering guide available showing which parts of the stamp line up for a perfect impression.
The final layer adds the last touch of dimension to the stamping resulting in a super realistic looking flower. The last ink colour is grapevine.
To get a perfect colour match for our die cut sentiment and to give the impression of a coloured cardstock under the stamped panel just rub the ink pad along the edge of the card and over a scrap of card to die cut from. You don’t need to worry about the edges as this will be covered by the panel.
Glue down the panel over the inked card base and add some foam adhesive to the back of the die cut word. I’ve decided to use hugs.
Once you have added the die cut sentiment the card is complete. It’s super easy and doesn’t take long at all but the realistic stamping gives such a professional finish to your card.
