Creating unusual card folds can help you get the most out of your crafty stash, plus it’s always fun to experiment with new ideas. This card features two trusted favourite card folds, an aperture card and a stepper card, and turns them into one! - Sarah Jackman-Read
Trim kraft card 16 x 13cm, fold in half then flatten the fold with a paper creaser. Trim pink paper 12.5cm square and adhere to the front. Die-cut a 7.5cm circle through the front, towards the top fold.
Trim another piece of kraft card 13cm square then score at 1cm, 4cm and 9cm. Valley fold the first two score lines then mountain fold the third. Trim three pieces of pink paper 12.5 x 3.5cm then adhere to each panel.
Run double-sided tape to the flap of the folded kraft card then attach to the back of the aperture card to create a stepper. Wrap ribbon across the front panel and add a stamped sentiment on top.
Trim contrasting paper 12.5cm square, stamp herbs on it so they will be seen through the circular aperture then adhere inside. Trim another piece of paper 11.5cm then die-cut a 6cm circle through it.
Stamp one herb, fussy cut then adhere to the top of the paper with the circle die-cut through it. Attach behind the other aperture with foam pads. Stamp three more herbs, fussy cut then adhere under the aperture, trimming it fit.
Stamp two teacups and fussy cut. Trim one teacup from the saucer then attach on top of the other teacup with foam pads. Attach the teacup in the aperture with foam pads. Add a bow and a charm threaded with a baker’s twine bow to the top of the aperture.
