Butterfly Card

This delicate card is super-simple with a bit of help from TODO

  • Papercraft and Scrapbooking
  • < 1 hour
  • Beginner

You Will Need:

  • TODO machine
  • Orange Cardstock
  • Yellow Cardstock
  • Pink Cardstock
  • Mint Cardstock
  • TODO letterpress template
  • TODO butterfly die
  • Pink foil roll
  • Adhesives
  • Foam pads

  1. Allow the machine to heat up and place the chosen metal foil plate in the centre of the hotplate. Cut a piece of foil slightly larger than the motif and place over the template, dull side facing up.

  2. Let the foil heat up, then lay completely flat before laying a piece of green card over it with the A plate on top. Set the roller pressure to around 2-3 and run the carriage over the stack. Remove layers and peel away foil carrier film to reveal the design.

  3. Trim the edges of the design, mount onto yellow cardstock, then stick to the centre of a large orange square blank. Die-cut a butterfly motif using pink card, layer together, then fix to the background with foam pads.

  4. Add a sentiment to give it a personal touch
