  • Glitz craft glitter past (Lavender, Fuchsia and Royal blue)
  • Tim Holtz Distress oxide spray and inks (Mermaid lagoon, Wilted violet and Spun sugar)

  • Water spritzer
  • Spatula knife
  • Dina Wakely White gesso
  • Paintbrush (to add the gesso)
  • Pinflair bookbinding glue
  • Low tack tape
  • Create and craft blue ribbon

Instructions

Paint the tag with the white gesso and let it dry completely.

1

Start with the blue spray to create the first layer of colour. Allow each colour layer to dry before adding the next colour.

Helen’s Helpful Hint: You could use a heat gun to dry each colour layer but keep moving the heat gun around so as not to burn the tag.

2

Continue spraying the tag with the wilted violet spray.

3

Finish with the spun sugar spray, add droplets of water with the spritzer bottle and use a dry cloth to take some of the colour off.

Helen’s Helpful Hint: If you add the pink and purple spray to the tag at the same time and then use a heat gun or a straw to move the colour around before it dries, it will mix together to create another layer of colour.

4

Use the blending tool to add the distress oxide ink through the stencil.

5

Clean the distress oxide off the stencil and allow to completely dry. Mask off the ‘Thinking of you’ sentiment with the low tack tape. Then use your spatula and glitter paste through the stencil.

Helen’s Helpful Hint: When using the glitz craft glitter paste you can layer colours on top of each other to create different colours on the same stencil.

6

Glue the congratulations MDF shape on to the tag and add a ribbon.
