Looking for Easter Basket ideas that aren’t too tricky to craft, but will leave your Easter table looking gorgeous this spring? Look no further! This fantastic Easter Basket craft project features adorable Easter bunnies and eye-catching Easter eggs that are simply gorgeous! Follow our step-by-step Easter Basket Craft Tutorial and create your very own.
Using your Die Cutting Machine, Die-cut your bunny from Cream Card. Next, fold along the bunny score lines; this enables it to sit free-standing, with its arms out. Once the bunny is complete, cut the 'Happy Easter' sentiment twice from the Cream Card, and once from the Kraft Card.
Next, cut a piece of Kraft Card to 6x6 inches. Using your 3 in 1 We R Memory Keepers Punch Board, punch and score at 1.5 inches, and score at 4.5 inches on all four sides of your card. Cut along the lines, and score, as above. (You will find so many projects you can use your Punch Board for online!)
Using your glue gun, stick down the two side flaps. Next, bring your top two side panels together, fold over your top flap, and secure with glue. Repeat the process for the bottom.
Now to decorate the eggs! You can paint your eggs using the Brea Reese Water Brush and Brea Reese Watercolour Ink; I used the 'natural' colour. These inks are highly pigmented, and go on beautifully. Once complete, set these aside and leave to dry. The ink will settle into the grooves on the eggs, producing a pretty finish.
Top Tip: Push a cocktail stick/skewer into your egg, so you have something to hold onto, and stand it in some florist foam to dry.
Using your We R Memory Keepers Crop A Dile, punch two holes in the sides of your basket to thread your handle through. (I used coated wire for mine). Next, fill with some natural fibre or shredded tissue paper, and use your glue gun to stick your die cut rabbits to your eggs.
Finally, use a glue pen to stick your die cut word together, layering the Kraft card and cream card together to create a drop shadow effect. Hang this on the bunny arms, and stick your remaining cream sentiment to the front of the basket.
