“The new in fashion card size is DL and I have to say these tall cards maybe small but they can really make a statement on a mantel piece for a special occasion.” Tracey Collett
For this DL Project you will need a DL size card blank, a piece of smooth what stamping card measuring 9.5cm x 19 cm, a selection of watercolour pens in the choice of colour for your project and Versafine ink.
Take the piece of smooth white card and your Thirsty Brush floral wreath stamp and with the Versafine Black ink stamp the wreath design partially on the card at the top from right and repeat from the left at the bottom.
Colour your floral images in with your watercolour pens. I use the acrylic block and scribble the ink on there and pick it up with a water brush and then apply to the design. Allow some drying time once you have finished the colouring of each image.
Once the images are dry, use your score board to score a small border just ¼ “ all the way around, this helps give the design some texture too. I have used 3d foam tape on the back of the stamped image and then layered this on to the DL card blank.
Add a simple sentiment to the bottom of the card to match the occasion or keep it generic so this card could be used as a gift set of notelets for someone special. I adhered the sentiment panel using 3d foam tape to give it one last 3d element.
DL size cards are very on trend at the moment and a box of these as a gift set for someone would certainly make their day.
