A step by step guide to show easy it is to make a beautiful card using the Sunflower Song Exclusive Collection from The Paper Boutique.
Once you have chosen one of your Sunflower Song toppers, lay out all your inserts which are in the Sunflower Song Collection. Remember inserts are not just for the inside of your cards you can also use them on the front of your cards. Crafting is all about adapting your materials to your project.
You will need one topper and two matching inserts, matching in the colours. One a little lighter than the other.
Using the A5 card as portrait in orientation this allows the insert to be used so that it gives the design on one side and the plain colour on the other side. This makes it look as if you had matted and layered two different papers.
The insert has been cut at approximately 20.5cms by 14.3cms.
Use a wet glue to stick this to the A5 card. Using wet glue allows you a little time to realign your insert/paper if you have not positioned it correctly the first time.
Place your card to one side as it is now time to use your cutting dies.
Using The Paper Boutique Thinking of You cutting dies cut the following pieces:
b. Next cut out the Doily die using the White Lady card from the Cocktail Collection.
c. We then need use the leftover insert that we used on the front of our card and cut out the smaller solid circle die.
d. Matt & layer all of the die-cuts using double sided foam pads.
Place your chosen topper in the centre of the circle.
Add flowers and leaves using The Paper Boutique Flower & Leaves Cutting Dies Collection as shown on the finished card using card from The Cocktail Collection.
A bow has been added together with pearls to add that extra special finishing touch to the card.
